Domain Names – Long or Short?
To establish a presence on the Internet, a domain name is a necessity obviously. For every webmaster or blogger, a domain name is a name that allows people on the Internet to find their website easily and quickly. For instance, google.com is the domain name we use to access the Google official website.
Of course, to register a domain name is just the first step to build a suceessful website. Speaking of domain name registration, there are differing opinions: Which is better – a long or short domain name?
As a long domain name can allow the extra words to capture the desired information better, compared with those short ones, some people hold the idea that a longer domain name may be easier to remember.
In their eyes, as the long domain names have the relevant keywords in them, this type of domain has the advantage of catching more attention from search engines.
But on the other hand, it is suggested that shorter domain names are easier to type, easier to remember and less likely for people to make mistakes with. But unfortunately, the bad news is that today, it is increasingly difficult to get short and meaningful domain names.
So, if you are ready to purchase your domain name, what is your opinion?
